Chairman – Michael McDonnell

The former Managing Director of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Ireland, Michael is an international HRM thought leader and current Chairman of Unijobs. Previously he was Chairman of the Board of Excellence Through People (ETP) Ireland’s national HRM and business development standard. Michael is a former President for the European Association for Personnel Management (EAPM) Representing 27 countries including Russia and Turkey and is co­-author with the Boston Consulting Group of “The Future of HR in Europe”. He has also served as a board member of the World Federation of Personnel Management Associations (WFPMA). He holds a BBS in Business Studies from the University of Limerick, an MSc (HR Strategy) from Sheffield Hallam University and an advanced Management Diploma from the Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin (UCD). He is also a Chartered Fellow with CIPD.



Martin Whelan 1

Managing Director – Martin Whelan

A senior HR practitioner with substantial international HRM and recruitment experiences in the healthcare and standards sectors. Previously NSAI’s Director of Standards and Board Member CEN, CENELEC, NCIR and NCI’s Leadership Council. He Chaired and drafted the current Excellence Through People HRM Standard and is a member of ISO’s Global Technical Committee (International HRM Standards). Martin has also held HR roles in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and the Irish Medical Organisation (IMO). Academically he holds a BA in HRM & Accountancy from the National College of Ireland (NCI) and an MBA from the Smurfit Business School, UCD. Professionally he is a Chartered Fellow (CIPD), a Chartered Arbitrator & Mediator (CIArb), an Accredited Mediator (CEDR) and a member of SHRM (USA).

Client Relations Director – Vincent Delaney

A dedicated and engaging client relations professional with substantial management consultancy knowledge gained from career experiences in Ireland, the EU, the USA, Canada and the Middle East. A science graduate from the Dublin Institute of Technology and the University of Dublin, he is a certified IRCA, Governance and RAB consultant who has managed audit programs for leading blue chip clients in the ICT, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Aviation, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Automotive, Security, Food and Agriculture sectors in Ireland, Europe, the United States and Canada. He is highly experienced in areas such as GMP, GLP, 5S, Lean, CE Marking, Six Sigma, Environmental Science and Risk Management and has worked in EPA, IMB, EMA and FDA regulated environments. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Health and a past Board Member of the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).



Human Resources Services Director – Brendan Kenny

A very experienced senior HR leader, Brendan has held senior HR positions with the Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg), the Health Service Executive, the Irish Bank Officials Association, the National Standards Authority of Ireland and the Defence Forces. He has also engaged in HR consultancy and his HR knowledge and career experiences have been augmented through his work in Ireland, across the EU, the USA, and the Middle East. Academically, Brendan holds a B.Comm from the National University of Ireland, Galway, an MBS in Human Resource Strategies from Dublin City University Business School, a Diploma In Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from the National College of Ireland and a Diploma in Leadership from the Irish Management Institute/ University College Cork. He is also a Chartered Fellow (CIPD) and has completed the Chartered Directors Certificate and Diploma courses with the Institute of Directors, London. Brendan is also Chair of ChildFund Ireland and is a Board member of the ChildFund Alliance. He is also the senior HR advisor to one of Ireland’s leading sporting organisations.
